Die in your religion or die in your devotion

I found this great clip from David Platt on YouTube. In my opinion if a message like this one doesn’t bring conviction to our hearts then we need to do as Paul said (which we should do often anyway),

Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!–(2 Corinthians 13:5 ESV)

With this kind of preface, I am sure some of people will not want to watch this video because you don’t want to “feel bad today”. But I am asking you as a friend who cares for you and for the lostness around us, please do watch this video. Listen to the words. And ask God to show if your heart really cares and if it doesn’t then ask Him, why not?

Honestly, I have a hard time understanding “Christians” who don’t seem to care that hundreds of thousands step into hell daily. The Bible makes it clear in 2 Corinthians 5:20 that “we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us“. Our job as ambassadors is to implore you (and other people) on behalf of Christ, (to) be reconciled to God– (2 Corinthians 5:20b ESV emphasis mine). Do we realize that this is God himself making an appeal to people to be reconciled to Himself? I don’t think God has stopped doing this.–Maria
