  2. Cody and Maria,
A friend of mine posted your blog on her facebook site. Whilewe do not know you personally, you are our brother and sister. We are praying for you and your wonderful, sweet family. Susana and Isabela are beautiful little girls, and I cannot imagine what you are going through. Remember, there is nothing wrong with grieving and questioning. Even Jesus cried when his friend Lazarus died, and He knew he was going to bring him back to life again. We will be loving you and looking forward to a healing.
    In His Love,
    Donna and Michael Mills

  3. Cody and Maria,

Our family are coming together to keep your family in prayer. This is where we are supposed to come together for one another. Our daughters are making some cards to send Susana and Isabela.
It is a blessing to see your strength in Christ even while you feel weak at this time. We will stay praying for God to keep you strong during this time.

    Your newest family in Christ,
    The Smulls

  4. I have two daughters myself and I know if either one of their lives were ever in jepordy it would be the worst thing I could ever go through. My heart goes out to you and your family. I will share this with others so you can get as many prayers as possible for Susana.

    With the love of Christ,
    Tiffany

  5. My heart breaks for your family. Remain steadfast in the valley. Sing God’s praises through this time, “Trust and obey, for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.” Thank you for continuing to share your families experiences.

  6. Dear Cody and Maria,

    We are praying for Susanna.
Our family began the journey of childhood cancer in Sept 08 and we are still on this journey of chemo and treatments for our son CJ. We live in Miami Lakes and he is treated at Joe DiMaggio.

We are living proof that in ALL things God works for the good of those how love Him and have been called according to His purpose.

As believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, and parents of a child battling cancer we know what you are going through. We know how precious ever prayer is to you that is offered for Susanna. We consider it our privilege to lift Susanna in prayer as others lifted our CJ in prayer.

Here are some Scriptures that were encouraging to us…

“You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you. Hear my prayer O Lord, listen to my cry mercy. In the day of my trouble I will call to you , for you will answer me.”

You mentioned waiting being the hardest thing right now and we totally agree. I thought of James 5:10:

“Brothers, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.”

We are here for your family as brothers and sister in the Lord and as fellow parents of childhood cancer.
We also are here as an organization we founded to help families going through this. We were told there was a need for an apartment and furniture. We would like to help you with that however we can.

Please let us know what you need.
    Sincerely,
    Chris and Dawn George

  7. Thank you so very much for your support and encouragement. We so appreciate connecting with other Christians who are going through the same thing and can find their hope and strength in the sovereignty of our great God and Savior. We are in need of a place of our our own to stay as we will probably be getting discharged in a few days. If you are able to help, please email us and we will give you our phone #. Thanks so much
